Message From Project Director
________
Caregiving is a stressful and often unrecognized role for many friends and family members caring for their loved ones. I’m grateful to be in a position to create opportunities to engage the community and residents and impact the lives of family caregivers.
Over the last six years, we have made a positive impact in the lives of over 500 family caregivers in the Boynton Beach area. Though our outreach and community engagement efforts, we have increased the awareness of family caregivers, provided education & resources and promoted health & wellness. Understanding the needs of family caregivers allowed us to identify available resources and connect them to caregivers. Rosalyn Carter was on point when she stated “There are only four kinds of people in the world; Those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need a caregiver.” The statement reminds us how caregiving can and will impact us all at some point in our lives. The dedication and sacrifices caregivers make on a daily basis goes far and beyond the call of duty.
As we continue to promote the importance of health and wellness, we take pride on this journey to improve the lives of family caregivers. We are extremely grateful for our family caregivers, community partners, and residents for their continuous support over the years.
