Community leaders, residents, and caregivers are invited to learn about the organizations that will receive mini-grants in the coming year to offer caregiving services in Boynton Beach. Organizations will receive up to $5,000 to provide caregiving services related to education, awareness, or health/wellness. Oct. 17-18 1-4 pm Up to 15 first-year students from the FAU medical school will come to our community in Boynton Beach to understand the needs and challenges of caregivers and other residents. It’s part of a program that helps students gain a broader understanding of the factors affecting health in underserved and economically disadvantaged communities. The students will meet residents on Oct. 17 and they will attend a poverty-understanding simulation on Oct. 18.
