Education & Awareness: Brother 2 Brother
The Brother 2 Brother project is a support group for male caregivers in Boynton Beach. The project consists of The Powerful Tools for Caregivers six-week course that provides each participant with the tools and strategies to better handle the unique challenges of caregiving. The group stresses the following elements:
•Taking care of you
•Managing your emotions
•Learning from your emotions
•Reducing personal stress
•Your mental health
•Hiring in-home help
•Loss, grief and end-of-life
After completing the courses, the men meet monthly and invite other male caregivers to the meetings. The meetings serve as a time to allow men to openly discuss issues, challenges and situations as caregivers in a comfortable environment.
The Questers Community Services Fund, INC. has been enriching the lives of citizens of south Palm Beach County since 1988. It’s a 501(C)(3) – non-profit organization dedicated to servicing the comprehensive social needs of the disenfranchised. The organization provides:
• Educational counseling
• Career counseling
• Self-esteem development
• Financial assistance to other charitable groups for the promotion of social services
• Emergency financial reliefs to victims of unforeseen catastrophes
• Direct financial assistance to underprivileged students (scholarships)
• Meals to feed the hungry and needy
• Clothing to the impoverished
• Recreational programs for the youth
• Youth Programs to combat juvenile
The organization also conducts many programs in conjunction with the Lambda Alpha Alpha Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The organization was formed exclusively to provide charitable, religious, educational, and scientific endeavors. Additionally, the organization serves seniors, children, and families in need in Boynton Beach, FL as well as the surrounding area.
